Information about data transfer to the USA

On our website, among other things, tools from companies with headquarters in the USA are integrated. When these tools are active, your personal data can be passed on to the US servers of the corresponding companies. It is important to note that the USA is not a safe third country in the sense of EU data protection law. Companies in the US are obliged to release personal data to security authorities and you as the data subject cannot take legal action against this action. For this reason, it cannot be avoided that US authorities (e.g., intelligence services) process, evaluate and permanently store your data located on US servers for monitoring purposes. We cannot influence these processing activities.

Your rights

Withdrawal of your consent to data processing

A lot of data processing operations can only be carried out with your explicit consent. At any time, you can revoke consent you have already given. The lawfulness of the data processing carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Any consent given for the storage of a cookie(s) can be revoked by you by deleting these cookies or deleting the cookie for storing the data protection settings selected via our Consent window (Essential /cookie_optin) from your IT system before visiting our website again.

Right to object to the collection of data in particular cases and to direct marketing (Art. 21 DSGVO (General Data Protection Regulation)

IF THE DATA PROCESSING IS BASED ON ART. 6 PAR. 1 LETTER E OR F DSGVO (GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION), YOU ARE ENTITLED TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA AT ANY TIME FOR REASONS ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION; THIS IS ALSO VALID FOR PROFILING ON THE BASIS OF THESE PROVISIONS. THE RESPECTIVE LEGAL BASIS FOR THE PROCESSING IS DESCRIBED IN THIS DATA PROTECTION DECLARATION. IN CASE YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA. WE WILL ONLY PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA IF WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS. WE WILL ALSO NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR THE PURPOSE OF ASSERTING, EXERCISING OR DEFENDING LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION IN ACCORDANCE WITH ART. 21 PARA. 1 GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION).

WHERE PERSONAL DATA ARE PROCESSED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES, THE DATA SUBJECT SHALL HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING HIM OR HER FOR SUCH MARKETING, WHICH INCLUDES PROFILING TO THE EXTENT THAT IT IS RELATED TO SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IN THE CASE OF YOUR OBJECTION, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL NO LONGER BE USED FOR THE PURPOSE OF DIRECT ADVERTISING (OBJECTION IN ACCORDANCE WITH ART. 21, PARA 21 PARA. 2 GENERAL DATA PROTECTION REGULATION).

Right of complaint at the competent supervisory authority

If breaches of the DSGVO (General Data Protection Regulation) occur, data subjects are entitled to file a complaint with a supervisory authority. This right applies in particular in the member state of their usual place of residence, their place of work or where the alleged breach took place. The right of appeal exists notwithstanding any other administrative or judicial remedy.

Right of data portability

You are entitled to have data automatically processed by us on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. Provided that you request the direct transfer of the data to another responsible party, this will only be done insofar as it is technically feasible.

Information, deletion, and correction

Within the legal framework, you have the right at any time to receive information at no charge concerning your stored personal data, the origin and recipients of your personal data, and the purpose for which your personal data is processed, as well as a right to have your personal data corrected or deleted. In this regard, or if you have questions concerning personal data, you can contact us at any time via the address specified in the Legal Notice.

Right to limitation of processing

You are entitled to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. In this regard, you can contact us at any time via the address specified in the Legal Notice. In the following cases, you are entitled to restriction of processing:

  • If you question the correctness of your personal data stored by us, we generally require time to check this. You are entitled to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data for the duration of the review.
  • In the event that the processing of your personal data was/is illegal, you may request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.
  • You are entitled to request restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of erasure if we no longer need your personal data, but you need it to exercise, defend or enforce legal claims.
  • If you have filed an objection in accordance with Art. 21 (1) DSGVO (General Data Protection Regulation), a balancing of your interests and ours must be carried out. You are entitled to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data as long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail.

If you restricted the processing of your personal data, these data – with the exception of storage – may only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise, or defence of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the Union or of a Member State.

Cookies

Our websites use so-called “cookies”. Cookies consist of small text files and do not cause any harm to your terminal device. Either they are stored temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your terminal device. Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit is concluded. Permanent cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them yourself or until your web browser automatically deletes them.

Cookies have different functions. A lot of cookies are required for technical reasons, since certain website functions would not work without them (e.g., the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies serve to evaluate user behaviour or display advertising.

Any cookies required to carry out the electronic communication process (required cookies) or to provide certain functions requested by you (functional cookies, e.g., for the shopping cart function) or to optimise the website (e.g., cookies for measuring the web audience) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO (General Data Protection Regulation), provided that no other legal basis is specified. The website operator has a justified interest in the storage of cookies for the technically error-free and optimised availability of his services. Provided that consent to the storage of cookies has been requested, the storage of the cookies in question is based exclusively on this consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO (General Data Protection Regulation)); you can revoke your consent at any time.

You can configure your browser in such a manner that you are informed of the setting of cookies, and that you only permit cookies on a case-by-case basis, that you activate the acceptance of cookies for specific cases, or reject the acceptance of all cookies, as well as activate automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. Deactivation of cookies can restrict the functionality of this website.

To the extent that third-party cookies or cookies for analysis purposes are used, we will inform you of this in a separate section of this data protection declaration and, if required, request your consent.

No information that your browser automatically transmits during your visit to our website is stored by the provider of the pages in so-called server log files.

As a result, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area prior to being transmitted to the USA. In exceptional cases the full IP address may be transferred to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google uses this information on behalf of the operator of this website in order to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports about website activities and in order to provide other services for the website operator in connection with the use of the website and Internet. The IP address sent from your browser in connection with Google Analytics will under no circumstances be bundled with other data by Google.
